Hey guys. So, its officially race week again. Gosh those 7 weeks were long and boring. Luckily, I had other forms of motorsport to keep me entertained.
Formula E is back in Brazil this weekend. If last year was anything to go by, I’m expecting an awesome show of speed pace and talent. Last year’s podium was:
Mitch Evans in 1st place for Jaguar, leading a Jaguar 1,2,3 as Envision use Jaguar powertrains.
Nick Cassidy for Envision Racing in 2nd place,
And Sam Bird rounding out the top 3.
But now, we interrupt this blog with some, sort of, breaking news. Not going to go in to much detail about this, as I have already posted a separate blog post about how annoyed I am about this however, 4 drivers, with the possibility of 8, are to miss out on at least race 1 in Berlin in May, due a WEC clash with Spa. Like I have already said, I have already posted a separate blog post about this, but it has slightly annoyed me a bit… WEC and FE are governed by the same governing body… you’d think there would be protocol to avoid this… Envision’s Frijns and Buemi have to prioritise WEC along with Mueller and De Vries, and that leaves Envision in a pretty sticky situation as to whether they will be able to compete at all with Seb and Robin that weekend. Luckily, as per the race, Jaguar have said, if needed Dillman and Eriksson can be called upon if needed, as Jaguar reserve drivers. Anyway… enough of that. But before we move on, go read that blog post. I basically voiced my opinion.
link is here :):
Predictions for this weekend… well:
Pole Nick Cassidy
P1 Cassidy
P2 Bird
P3 Buemi
But as we have seen time and time again, its Formula E. surprises do spring up, and with that, here’s my surprise prediction
An ERT in the points, and Sam or Jake H winning the race.
So yeah. Lets see what this weekend brings 😊
Saturdays blog uploads may be a bit sparse, as I am at Mum's all day,. However, I will make sure to take lots of notes and upload the full recap Sunday, or Monday.
