Hey guys
Its race week again!!!!
This weekend it’s the time of Portland to make a return to our screens. I enjoyed the race last year, even if I did fall asleep whilst watching it live by accident. Yes that happened… but I did watch it back, and it was a good race. Predictions for the race I’ll do later on.
Last time out in shanghai, the races were won by Nick Cassidy, and Mitch Evans, with a special mention to Jake Hughes for getting his first Formula e Podium, finishing the Sunday Race P2. It was very peloton like, and I feel if this style of racing continues, drivers and fans are going to start walking away from the sport. However changes have to happen sometimes, and I can fully get behind it, just as long as its done safely and effectively.
Last year, it was a very peloton style race, with Nick Cassidy winning the race for Envision Racing, with Antonio Felix Da Costa and Jake Dennis accompanying him on the podium. There were 4 added laps, owing to two safety cars; one for Nico Mueller, who had a pretty hefty impact coming out of turn 9, and one for Roberto Mehri, whose car grinded to a halt with a suspected mechanical failure. Nico , very fortunately, walked away unharmed.
On to this year.
Jaguar Racing go in to this weekend with a very strong chance of winning the teams championship early, as they have a sizeable lead at the top of the championship. Drivers wise, Nick Cassidy leads the championship 25 points away from Pascal Wehrlein in P2. I think the drivers championship is going down to the wire again, and the championship will, once more, be decided in London.
Prediction wise, I think Nick Cassidy could win it this weekend, but the field is so tight in Formula e, it literally could be anyone’s win. But ill try and give you a podium prediction:
1st Cassidy
2nd Evans
3rd Wehrlein
I also have collated all the session times, and dates, so I will give you those in a second.
So I think all that is left to say, is enjoy the race guys, and lets hope your driver gives you something to smile about😊
Oh but before I go, some breaking news broke the other day.
The FIA made the decision to uphold their decision to disqualify Antonio Felix Da Costa from the Misano ePrix in April. Therefore, dismissing Porsche’s DSQ appeal. This is the third time in two years that this has happened, and like one of my friends said, how have the Volkswagen group thought that Formula E is still commercially viable, when all they are doing is appealing everything they don’t like, and getting nowhere with it. They took it to ICAS as well, which meant the results were provisional until the other day…
Anywho.
Session times, and uk watching along times and details below.
Love you guys.
Deadline for London media is getting ever closer. Ngl I am bricking it…
