Well that came around quickly !!
Happy race week everyone. It's time for the Diriyah eprix.
However this time the the races will be held on Friday and Saturday. Not Saturday and Sunday like a normal double header.
Pascal Wehrlein and Porsche won both races last year, a very impressive feat. Not many drivers have been able to win both races in a doubleheader weekend.
This year will be the 5th year that Formula e has raced around the Saudi Arabian capital.(season 5,6,7,8,9 and 10) The races have always proved to be classic formula e races, with daring moves completed by some drivers. The most amazing one being Edo Mortara going through the middle of 2 cars in 2022; I thought that would end in a spectacular crash, however it got pulled off amazingly.

Turn 19 (2023)
Last time out in Mexico, Pascal Wehrlein won the Mexico City ePrix, with Sebastien Buemi 2nd and Nick Cassidy, on his 1st outing in the Jaguar Colours, rounding out the top 3. The race itself didn’t produce many overtakes, however it was still an ok one. There were 3 retirements, and 1 DNS, with Sette Camara unfortunately not being able to start the race due to a technical issue in his ERT on the reconnaissance lap. Unfortunately, also, Da Costa picked up a 3 place grid penalty for causing a collision with Nico Muller, which in turn caused Antonio’s retirement from the race. The race itself was pretty tame for fe standards, however Diriyah always, metaphorically mind, provides the fireworks.
Predictions:
Race 1
Podium:
Wehrlein
Bird
Frijns
Pole:
Wehrlein or Hughes
Race 2:
Podium:
Bird
Cassidy
Frijns
Pole:
Bird or Wehrlein
Surprise prediction:
Porsche do the double 2x win, and a possible grand slam (pole win led every lap and fastest lap)
