Hey guys. Sorry it’s been “waaaaay long”. Feel like I’m slowly abandoning this blog. There is a reason why the little phrase I’ve paraphrased is in quotation marks but we’ll get to that soon.
It’s another q&a blog!!! This time all the wonderful people that follow me on social media have sent a few Qs for me to ask
We’ll start with a question by my good friend Kelsey (_kels_roberts_ on Instagram)
She asks
"What was the highlight of the Bastille gig? "
To be honest. The whole day was amazing. Queuing from 10am definitely had its perks. We were having pictures round by the back of the venue, then as we were walking to the main entrance I said to mum “Mum, I swear that was Kyle walking to his dressing room!!!” She didn’t believe me at first, but when we walked up, after saying to mum “don’t look shifty!!” Low and behold there was Kyle Simmons.
He was soooooo nice to chat to, and we even got a picture with him 🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺. He signed my mums personalised hoodie I made her for the gig for Christmas, and also signed Rexy. To say I was made up was literally an understatement, and mum almost cried =/. Then later on in the soundcheck and Q&A, my question got asked to the boys, and we were front and centre. Trying to not pee myself with laughter was definitely a challenge! If you want to watch my question in full it’s on my Instagram. Envisionracingfan. Dan gave me a set list after club 57 and I literally cried, I was super starstruck. It’s framed on my wall with my GMTF Experience lanyard and my canvas I drew to remember the day. We also got a selfie with dan afterwards
It was literally one of the most amazing experiences of my life. Before things we lost in the fire or maybe those nights, can’t remember lol! Dan noticed my digital sign I did on PicCollage and made me a love heart. There were also two lovely Spanish girls we met in the queue, and they were also so nice. The whole gig was one of the best gigs of my life, and I cried, laughed and genuinely had the night of my life.
"How hard is it to do a blog, do you get writers block or struggle on what to write "
Asks Lewis (pleblewis on twitter)
This depends on two things
If I have a topic to write about
If I can be bothered to type up my thoughts and words that day.
With these two factors thought about, blogs can take me anywhere between 1 hour to a week, that’s also planning and question taking time factored into the process. My race reviews and Le Mans reviews can take me up to 2 days to write due to race results and driver thoughts and quotes. When I have those, and I have the mentality to write, then blogs generally take shape and form
The next question is from another one of my good friends Steph
(Princesspetrolhead on Instagram)
She asks
Which is your preferred car Generation in Formula E based on visual appeal?
1,2 or 3 ?
For me, its closely contested between Gen 2 and 3. Gen2, because it was the car that made me fall in love with the sport. And gen 3, because contrary to belief, I think it looks really cool.
Next question from janka_p on twitter
Do you have a dream that can’t happen anymore? (e.g. you’re the oldest but you wanted older sibling)
As I have been diagnosed with PCOS (Poly Cystic Ovarian Syndrome), I don’t think I can try for children anymore, so I will probably end up adopting children when I'm older. And another thing I don’t think will happen, is getting a boyfriend, as I have had 3 and don’t really like it. 2 ended in mutual split, and one dumped me.
What races are you looking forward to this year? Asks imaani.baree on Instagram.
Marrakesh, with the race having been announced recently to be replacing Vancouver.
Silverstone and London, with those being my home races in both FE and F1
Berlin this weekend, cause last year's race was really what the heck!!!
New York, cause the big apple NEVER fails to deliver.
Basically the rest of the fe calendar lol.
Monaco F1
Zandvoort
The rest of the WEC calendar, including Le Mans next month
To which races are you going to? Asks maria (@m.a.r.i.i.i.a_1325 (Instagram) , @mariiia1325 (Twitter)
Keeping all fingers crossed for London, as you guys are aware. Loved it last year and it was such an amazing atmosphere. Especially seeing Alex Lynn win his home race, with Jake Dennis having won the day before. I was invited by Envision Racing, and was literally, I kid you not, sat on the attack mode activation corner. My team are undoubtedly one of the best teams on the grid, and that, along with being invited to the Jaguar Racing Season 8 Launch, was the highlight of 2021.
Final question. Submitted by lance_stroll_no1 on instagram.
What made you fall in love with Team Envision?
To be honest, it wasn’t the team to begin with, it was Sam. Then season 5 began, and the first episode of behind the visor was uploaded to YouTube. Then I fell in love with the team through robin being his witty tired sloth like self, and Sam taking the mick. then all the fan engagement through Carolyn to begin with, and then the recent social admin who replaced Carolyn when she left for AlphaTauri.
Thank you all for all your submissions, they’ve been really good questions to ask.
As usual, I'll leave all my socials down below
Happy FE race week to all my friends and followers who follow that and yeah
How good 😊
